Model MGK41T recloser controller is a monitoring unit applied in the medium-voltage overhead line electric power network, it can realize the protection and automatic reclosing functions assembled with the pole-mounted circuit breaker. The recloser controller is installed near the circuit breaker and suitable for the outdoor switchgear of voltage class up to 35kV.
Main Functions
1. Protection function
Instantaneous overcurrent trip protection, 2nd stage time-delayed overcurrent trip protection and 3rd stage time-delayed overcurrent trip protection.
Time-delayed overcurrent accelerated trip protection, accelerating trip and reclosing block when fault happens at closing status.
Auto-reclosing function (up to three times), in accordance with the �-t1-CO-t2-CO-t3-CO-Block�operation characteristic, and also has the time-delayed overcurrent accelerated trip function after reclosing. The reclosing operation times and delay time can be set according to requests.
Zero-sequence current protection and low current earthing protection
Inverse time protection in accordance with the following four curves of inverse time overcurrent phase to phase, and recover at definite time after the protection operation
2. Metering function
It can measure the value of three-phase current & voltage, active & reactive power and power factor at real-time, as well as the operation numbers and frequency., etc, those parameters will be displayed on the LCD panel.
3. Control function
Control the circuit breaker opening or closing by the operation panel.
Control the circuit breaker opening or closing by the hand-held remote-controller (remote-control distance is not less than 30 meters)
Remote control the circuit breaker opening or closing via the SCADA.
4. Signal function
It can monitor those signals such as the breaker status, PT voltage, protection operation., etc, also displayed on the panel clearly via LED.
5. Parameter check and modification
Each protection parameter can be checked or modified on the local LCD operation panel, and safeguarded by the password in order to avoid others modifying the parameters wrong.
These parameters can also be modified via the mode of �etting-activation-confirmation�at the SCADA.
6. SOE log function
Fault information is recorded circularly, and save the current value whenever fault happens, the fault information can never be lost even power cut, fault information can be checked on the local LCD panel and maximum storage up to 64 events.
7. Intelligent power supply management
Adopting the UPS design with main & stand-by power supply for dual protection. The stand-by power source consists of two 12V, 7Ah batteries with high-reliability. Charging control with temperature compensation, battery over-discharging protection (automatic power off when battery over-discharge or under-voltage), and the stand-by batteries free of maintenance.
Internal-installed batteries can supply power to the following devices:
�he controller itself; it can keep the controller operating for more than 24 hours after outage.
�he motor drive mechanism of circuit breaker; it can maintain the circuit breaker operating for more than 10 times after the system power cut.
�ata transmission devices such as modem and radio.
8. Communication function
One wireless network-card interface is provided, with which the wireless network communication can be realized within 500 meters far from the device. All information can be easily got, it is suitable for the small substation.
One RS485 communication interface is provided, with which the distribution automation system can be established when connected with the communication module such as optical fiber, GSM, GPRS/CDMA., etc.
One set of debugging software is attached free of charge when delivery, it is convenient for user to check the controller� operation status and record.
The communication protocol is compatible with IEC870-5-101, DNP3.0 and MODBUS protocols., etc.
